lightbulb

Bulbs & care

Stay within the maximum wattage printed on this page and on the socket. A shade and a socket are rated for the heat they can take, and going over it is a real fire risk. For warm, evening-coloured light look for a 2700K bulb; an LED at that rating runs cool and lasts years.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth — avoid household glass cleaner on glass or crystal parts. Unplug before cleaning, and keep shades clear of curtains and bedding. More in our Lighting & Care Guide.

The corner a ceiling light never reaches

Overhead light flattens a room. One lamp in the right corner does the opposite — it gives the room a centre, and everything past the edge of the light softens into shadow.

Put the Comfort Colors Goldendoodle Halloween Shirt, Funny Skeleton Doodle Dog Tee, Spooky Dog Lover Gift Men Women, Pet Owner Gift, Doodle Mom Tee where you sit in the evening, switch the overheads off, and see how different the same room feels.

    How To Choose A Lamp

Four things worth checking before you buy.

    • lightbulb

      1. Glow Or Reading Light?

A lamp rated to 7 watts is a glow for a shelf. One rated to 60 or 100 watts lights a table or a bed.

    • straighten

      2. Check The Height

Beside a bed, aim for 24 to 32 inches so the bulb sits below eye level when you are reading.

    • palette

      3. Buy A 2700K Bulb

Most decorative lamps ship without one. 2700K gives the warm evening light people expect.

    • join_inner

      4. Pairs Read As Deliberate

Two matching lamps on two nightstands is the cheapest way to make a room look considered.

      TNBGlobal vs A Big-Box Lamp

What you give up buying the one that just fills the corner.

        A big-box lamp
Maximum wattage printed before you buy
Real height and width, not "approx"
Says plainly when no bulb is included
Detail worth looking at, not a shape that fills a gap
Glass replaced free if it arrives broken

      Questions, Answered

      help

Does it come with a bulb?

Most of our lamps do not, and we say so on every product page. It is deliberate — the bulb decides the colour of the light, and that is a matter of taste. Each page lists the bulb type and the maximum wattage so you know exactly what to buy.

      help

      How bright is it?

Check the maximum wattage above — that is the honest answer. A lamp rated to 7 watts is accent lighting: a glow for a shelf or a windowsill, not something to read by. A lamp rated to 60 or 100 watts will light a table or a bed.

      help

What bulb colour should I choose?

Look for 2700K for the warm, yellowish light people associate with lamps and evenings. Anything from 4000K upward reads as office lighting. If you plan to use a dimmer, buy a bulb marked dimmable.

      help

      What if it arrives broken?

Send us photos of the item and the packaging within 7 days of delivery. We replace it or refund you in full and cover the shipping. You do not need to send a broken glass piece back.

      help

      How do I clean it?

Unplug it first, then dust with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid household glass cleaner on glass or crystal parts — it can leave a film. Never let liquid near the socket.

      help

Can I return it if it is not right for the room?

Yes — 30 days from delivery, unused and in its original packaging with all parts. Change-of-mind return shipping is at your cost. Email tiemnhabia@gmail.com and we will sort it out.
